What's New With Us
The first Lynchburg Community Theatre Festival (LCTF) is right around the corner! This event has been an idea that's been brewing since the earliest days of the Foundation. The mission of the Foundation has always been to support the theaters in the Greater Lynchburg area. This Festival takes that a step further by celebrating the people who bring these shows to life! An evening of dancing, dining, and activities is planned, with each theater being showcased.
The inspiration for the LCTF came from a cabaret that was done in Mark Foreman's honor in January 2023. Many of the local theater community performed numbers from shows that either Mark was involved in or shows he loved. While the family was touched by this outpouring of love for Mark, they also noticed something amazing: someone associated with every local theater participated or was present. It was a beautiful collaboration and a reminder that despite being separate entities, our love for theater transcends all boundaries. The seeds were sown and the LCTF is now scheduled almost exactly two years after this inspiration. The cabaret took place on January 29, 2023 at Little Town Players in Bedford. The LCTF tickets are on sale now! Early bird prices are $25 per ticket from November 1 to November 30, after which tickets are $30 each. Alcohol tickets, which include unlimited wine and beer, are an additional $15 (21+ only). Tickets are limited, so purchase yours today!
Finally, If you would like to donate to our mission, our donation page allows for one-time and monthly recurring donations. The Foundation pays for all tickets used in giveaways, two biannual Director Grant awards of $1,000.00, printed calendars for the theaters, and events such as the Lynchburg Community Theatre Festival.
